First time I saw Jonathan aka Abstal Compost was at Espace Autogéré de Lausanne, with LabRatsBugBand in 2010, an amazing hiphop band with a very corporal live performance and Jonathan was turning around the audience, jumping and screaming "Fuck the tourists".
Soon after the concert we talked a lot, I discovered that Jonathan wasn't that kind of "normalized" rapper with obvious mythology for gangstar rap or posse movement. He toured with Beta Erko with Mc Makendosky and Robin Fox, he had the project Karst with some other friends involved in improvised electroacoustic music with Insbub.org Label… nothing that can be enclosed in a genre or a definition and a very special person and friend.
We had to tour together in March 2020, his idea was to improvise and develop a project with the Expanded Cinema of Andrea Saggiomo aka 70fps.
